SNMP SET Request

Use the SNMP SET Request activity to send a SET request to an SNMP device. A SET request updates the value of an OID in a specific instance of SNMP on the target.

Usage

Complete the following properties to use this activity:

• SNMP - Specify the following information or click the Variable Reference icon to choose a variable:
  • Context Name - Enter the Context Name of the SNMP instance on the target.
  • Variables - Click Add and specify the following information or click the Variable Reference icon to choose a variable:
    • OID - Enter the unique object identifier (OID) number.
    • Type - Click the drop-down list and choose the type of attribute for the request.
    • Value - Enter the new value for the specified OID.
