Control Windows Service

Use the Control Windows Service activity to specify the Windows service to which an action should be performed.

Note: To ensure that this activity properly executes, verify that the Remote Registry service is enabled on the target.

Usage

Complete the following properties to use this activity:

• Inputs - Specify the following information or click the Variable Reference icon to choose a variable:
  • Service Name - Enter the Windows service name.
  • Action On Service - Click the drop-down list to choose the action that should be performed against the service. The available options are Pause, Restart, Resume, Start, and Stop.
  • Seconds to Wait - Enter the amount of time to wait before completion.
